Once Upon a One More TIme

Set in a fantasy storybook realm, the plot follows a little girl who wants to be read a fairy tale. Characters from different stories audition for their story to be chosen. After the child falls asleep the fairytale characters relax and later the OFG (Original Fairy Godmother) help turn everything upside down as they transform into a feminist awakening and embark on a quest to rewrite the stories and redefine “happily ever after” to the dismay of the Princely characters. The musical premiered on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre in the summer of 2023 with a book by Jon Harmere and music by Britney Spears.

Cinderella – leading lady of the kingdom; vocal range top E5 – bottom E

Snow White – Cinderella’s best friend, pure and innocent character; vocal range top D5 – bottom F3

Prince Charming – dashing prince used to getting what he wants; range top B4 – bottom Bb2

Fairy Godmother (OFG) – a rogue fairy godmother; delightfully daffy; range top B4 – bottom C4

Cinderella’s Stepmother – a scheming woman who knows how to work a system to get what she wants; range top Bb5 – bottom E3

Belinda – one of Cinderella’s step sisters; range top F5 – bottom G3

Betany – one of Cinderella’s step sisters; range top Eb5 – bottom G3

Rapunzel – range top Eb5 – bottom Ab3

Sleeping Beauty – range top D#5 – bottom G3

Princess and the Pea – range top D5 – bottom F3

Little Mermaid – range top Eb5 – bottom Ab3

Clumsy – one of Snow White’s dwarfs; top B4 – bottom G3

Narrator – a stern boss who just wants things to run smoothly

Prince Erudite plus other Princes - Brawny, Ebullient, Mischievous, Gregarious, Suave and Affable

Princesses – Belle, Gretel, Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks and Esmerelda
