MAMMA MIA!

The Charleston Light Opera Guild and the Clay Center present Mamma Mia! in the Maier Performance Hall at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences on January 18, 19, 25, and 26, 2019 at 7:30 PM with matinees on January 20 and 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM.

The Charleston Light Opera Guild and the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences collaborate to present Mamma Mia!  This musical staging is based on the book by Catherine Johnson and music and lyrics by Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson.  This is the first time the musical will be produced by a community theatre company in the region.

ABBA's hits tell the hilarious story of a young woman's search for her birth father.  This sunny and funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise.  On the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago.

The story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless songs propels this enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship, creating an unforgettable show.  A large cast, non-stop laughs and explosive dance numbers combine to make Mamma Mia! enjoyable for any audience.  A mother.  A daughter.  Three possible dads.  And a trip down the aisle you'll never forget!
