The Charleston Light Opera Guild will present Jersey Boys at the Charleston Coliseum Theater on April 4-6 and 11-13, 2025.
Jersey Boys follows the fascinating story of four blue-collar boys who became one of the greatest successes in pop-music history. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical, the story takes you behind the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons to discover the secret of a 40-year friendship as the foursome work their way from the streets of New Jersey to the heights of stardom. Their chart-topping hits include Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Dawn, and My Eyes Adored You.

SINGING: Monday, January 27 | 7:30 p.m. - Prepare a selection to sing. Bring copy of music for Guild accompanist unless singing from the score.
READING: Tuesday, January 28 | 7:00 p.m. - Scripts will be provided.
DANCING/MOVEMENT: Wednesday, January 29 | 7:30 p.m. - Dress to move and dance. Combinations will be taught. Be prompt!

Frankie Valli - a strong tenor with sweet and strong falsetto and the ability to sing in the style of Frankie Valli; strong tenor to high A or Bb plus strong falsetto up to treble G; charming and charismatic and a strong actor; plays ages starting from teen; movement skills; gritty side and also a polished veneer; should be 5'9" or shorter; age late teens-35
Nick Massi - a strong bass/baritone voice; must be comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies; strong actor; quiet dreamer who longs for life after The Four Seasons; movement skills; age 30-40
Bob Gaudio - a strong tenor/bari-tenor voice; must be comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies; strong actor; an intelligent, sensitive, and introspective musical prodigy; movement skills; preferably tall; age 20-35
Tommy DeVito - a strong tenor/bari-tenor voice; must be comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies; strong actor; ability to play guitar a plus; a natural born leader with appealing bad-boy quality; movement skills; age 30-40
Joe Pesci - young energetic; must be a good actor and strong singer; short in stature; age 20-35
Bob Crews - intelligent and flamboyant; genius music producer and lyricist; integral to creating the magic of The Four Seasons; age 30-40
Gyp DeCarlo - tough, mafioso type; must be a good actor and strong singer; age 45-55
