heathers: the musical
The Charleston Light Opera Guild will present Heathers: The Musical at the Charleston Light Opera Guild Theatre on June 13-15 and 20-22, 2025 as part of FestivALL Charleston.
Based on the cult classic 1980s movie of the same name that starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, Heathers is the story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, pretty teen misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High, the Heathers. Before she can get comfortable being a member of the trio of girls, each named Heather, she falls in love with the dangerously new hot kid, J. D. When Heather Chandler, the group leader, kicks her out of their clique, Veronica decides to forget the trio, but J. D. has other plans.
