Overview
The Marvelous, Magical Circus Musical!Barnum traces the career
of America’s greatest showman from 1835 to the year he joined with James A.
Bailey to form the Greatest Show on Earth. P.T. Barnum was the King of
Humbug; the exaggeration of fact. This energetic show tells Barnum’s life
through the setting of scenes and acts in a circus. We Follow his life
with his wife, Chairy, his living curiosities from Joice Heth the Oldest
Woman in the World, through the smallest man, Tom Thumb, and Barnum’s first
respectable attraction, Jenny Lind the Swedish Nightingale. Surrounding the
great showman are circus type performers, clowns, a Ringmaster, show goers,
and an on-stage circus band.
The score includes I Like Your Style, Come Follow the Band, The Colors of
My Love, There Is a Sucker Born Every Minute, The Prince of Humbug, Black
and White, Join the Circus.
